Package Overview

Shirdi is a town in the state of Maharashtra, in western India. It's known as the former home of revered spiritual leader Sai Baba, and as a major pilgrimage site. Devotees gather daily at the Sai Baba Temple complex to honor his legacy. Here, the Samadhi Mandir shrine has an ornate marble statue of Sai Baba, alongside his tomb. Close by are Dawarkamai, a mosque where Sai Baba once lived, and tree-lined Lendi Garden.

Shani Shingnapur is a village known for its Shani Temple, dedicated to Lord Shani (the personification of the planet Saturn). The temple is about 70 km from Shirdi, making it a popular addition to a pilgrimage trip after visiting Shirdi. The temple is unique because there is no roof or temple structure housing the deity. Instead, the idol of Lord Shani is kept in an open-air platform, symbolizing his watchful presence. Pilgrims believe that Lord Shani watches over the village, and as a result, there are no doors or locks on houses in the village.
